Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine and is a part of physiotherapy. The Physiotherapist uses Cupping Therapy to relieve muscle tension, improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair.

How does Cupping Therapy work?
The cups are placed over painful muscles or trigger points and a suction is applied. The suction force expands tiny blood vessels (capillaries) under the skin. The body replenishes the cupped area with healthier oxygenated blood flow and stimulates proper and normal healing at a cellular level.

Individuals may experience red round marks that will fade within a week, it is important to understand they are NOT bruises that injure muscle fibre. Instead feeling of soreness may be present.
