What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy is the art and science of directing an individuals active participation in a selected task. An Occupational therapist helps to either restore, reinforce or enhance performance or to adapt with a device. The therapeutic use of self care, work and play activities increases the functional independence, enhance development and prevent disabilities.

What does the Occupational Therapist Do?
At HOPE our qualified professionals are trained to help people to overcome limitations caused by injury, illness, psychological and emotional difficulties. They work with children, adults and with people suffering from Mental health illnesses to facilitate learning of skills to participate in activities of daily living (ADL). The goal is to promote health and well being through occupation (Task-Environment-Personal).

At HOPE, our certified Occupational Therapist using various approach that include Sensory Integration, assess and formulate a treatment plan based on individual’s needs. They also provide a home program to meet your child’s/ adults individual need to function in daily life. The Sensory room at HOPE, is specifically designed and utilised to promote self-organization and a positive change.
